From the farmer’s field to the Senate floor, biofuels are a topic of increasing debate. With a steady stream of conflicting claims in the media, it’s often hard to discern the most relevant issues in the field. Recognizing the need for clarity in the biofuels debate, Clean Fuels Ohio has prepared a Biofuels White Paper to supply context and highlight important facts.
The paper explores selected issues involved in biofuels production. By picking apart the major arguments and examining key data we hope to arm readers with a more nuanced understanding of biofuel production— as well as the kind of policy necessary to ensure it is done wisely.
Clean Fuels Ohio believes biofuels can make a positive contribution to our energy future. With a clear and common sense understanding of the issues involved, biofuels can not only help us break our addiction to petroleum— they can also contribute to the healthy growth of our environment and economy.
I invite you to read “Doing Biofuels Right: Making Sense of the Great Biofuels Debate (PDF) .” We hope that the paper contributes to thoughtful discussion and debate. The stakes are high.
