Propane: The most widely used of any non-petroleum vehicle fuels available.

Typically 25%-50% cheaper than petroleum fuels, propane or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), sometimes called autogas, is a clean-burning, high-energy alternative fuel that’s been used for decades to power light- and medium-duty vehicles. It’s environmentally-friendly, non-toxic and it presents no threat to soil, surface and ground water.

Autogas vehicle technologies have made tremendous strides in recent years.  Today, more vehicles are factory-built to run on propane and many vehicles can be converted using EPA-certified conversion kits. Propane is the most widely used of any non-petroleum vehicle fuels available.  Further, the cost of the infrastructure is inexpensive and relatively cost-effective.
