STATE APPROVES RULES FOR ALTERNATIVE FUEL VEHICLE CONVERSION GRANT

A legislative committee voted recently to approve rules regarding the Alternative Fuels Vehicle Conversion Grant (AFVC) program. This grant will help reduce up-front costs of vehicles powered by natural gas or propane autogas. The Alternative Fuels Vehicle Conversion Grant program was created through persistent advocacy in the Ohio General Assembly over a three-year period by Clean Fuels Ohio (CFO) and partners in the CNG and propane industries and among fleet users of these alternatives. PUCO Power Forward Phase Three to Include Significant Focus on Utility Electric Vehicle Programs

The Ohio Public Utilities Commission (PUCO) will hold a seminar on electric vehicles (EVs), policies, and issues related to utility programs to support Electric vehicles and charging stations. The seminar will be part of phase three of the Commission’s PowerForward proceeding. Phases one and two took place during the summer and fall of 2017. The specific date for the primary focus on EVs hasn’t been set but is likely to be March 6, 7, or 8, based on a communication from the Commission. US EPA Flatlines Biodiesel Renewable Fuel Standard Volumes

On November 30th, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released the required volume obligations (RVOs) under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) and failed to grow the biomass-based diesel volumes.
