Clean Fuels Ohio Holds EV-Ready Local Policy Workshop and Ride & Drive at the University of Dayt

On July 11, Clean Fuels Ohio partnered with the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission (MVRPC) to present the first of several local electric vehicle-ready policy workshops at the University of Dayton. An early afternoon presentation by Brendan Kelley, Drive Electric Ohio Director, and Matt Lindsay, Manager of Environmental Planning for MVRPC, included attendees from local governments across the Miami Valley Region. Kelley and Lindsay discussed the state of the electric vehicle market with an emphasis on Ohio and the Miami Valley, electric options for public fleets, and model local policies that can better facilitate the expansion of electric vehicle charging infrastructure and adoption.

(Washington DC)- The U.S. House Ways and Means Committee voted in late June to pass HR 3301- The Taxpayer Certainty and Disaster Relief Act of 2019. Included in the bill was an amendment that would extend the federal tax credits for alternative transportation fuel for 2018-2020. This legislation is waiting to be scheduled for a vote on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives and is expected to pass. Facing a Threat to Funding, Congress Shows Overwhelming Support for Clean Cities Program

In recent weeks, the Energy and Water Appropriations Subcommittee of the U.S. House of Representatives debated and passed HR 2740, an appropriations bill for a wide variety of government agencies. Included in the appropriations bill is funding for the Clean Cities program. Clean Fuels Ohio is one of nearly ninety Clean Cities coalitions around the country. Clean Cities funding was strongly supported by the subcommittee. City of Grandview Switches to Biodiesel

The City of Grandview has become the latest to make the switch to blended biodiesel for fleet operations, joining several other Central Ohio government fleet operations. The City of Grandview has a fueling partnership with the Franklin County Engineer’s office nearby, which began using biodiesel on April 1, 2019.
