As electric vehicle adoption continues to increase across the state of Ohio, businesses and local governments look to “fast chargers” as a tool for economic development. The recent increase in fast charger availability is also expected to increase electric vehicle drivers’ ability to travel longer distances between cities while decreasing range anxiety. Free Fleet Demo Vehicles Available in Ohio

Clean Fuels Ohio is launching an initiative to make vehicles available to Ohio fleets for demonstration and data collection. Initially, two commercial electric vehicles will be available. The initiative may expand to other fuel and technology types later in 2020. On Tuesday, March 31st, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, Clean Fuels Ohio and The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business will hold a webinar on Sustainable Logistics. On March 10th, Clean Fuels Ohio partnered with the Southwestern Ohio Educational Purchasing Council (EPC) to host a meeting for school districts about opportunities to utilize propane powered buses in school fleets. Charging Site Hosts Could be Able to Charge by KWH Pending Ruling by Public Utilities Commission

(Columbus)—Clean Fuels Ohio announced today that charging site hosts may be able to charge customers by kilowatt hour at Ohio charging stations under state regulations. This follows a recent docket change by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio if it is approved. Site hosts currently have a variety of options to choose from when developing their business model for charging EV owners for charging their vehicle. However, a growing number of site hosts have expressed an interest in charging by kilowatt hour.
