Clean Fuels Ohio announced the winners of its Ohio Green Fleets program at the organization's 2018 Midwest Green Fleets Forum & Expo on September 25, 2018.
Andrew Conley, a program director at Clean Fuels Ohio, said, “We’re very pleased that 11 organizations demonstrated quantifiable improvements in vehicle fuel efficiency and environmental performance this year and achieved one, three and five-star certifications.”

The 2018 Class of Ohio Green Fleets includes:
City of Columbus, Division of Police – One-Star Certified
Delaware City Schools – One-Star Certified
Rumpke (Central Ohio Operations) – One-Star Certified
Summit Metro Parks – One-Star Certified
Big Walnut Local Schools – Three-Star Certified
City of Columbus, Facilities Management – Three-Star Certified
City of Dayton, Waste Division – Three-Star Certified
Laketran – Three-Star Certified
Martin’s Ferry City Schools – Three-Star Certified
Ansonia Local Schools – Five-Star Certified
Pike Delta York Schools – Five-Star Certified
“These new fleets are in very good company”, Conley continued. The Ohio Green Fleets now has a list of 91 certified public and private fleets on its impressive roster.
Clean Fuels Ohio created the Ohio Green Fleets program 10 years ago and has enrolled more than 700 fleets. Its current certified fleets have displaced a combined annual total of 21,654,720 gallons of petroleum and eliminated more than 2,996 tons of nitrogen oxide (NOx), 198 tons of particulate matter (PM 2.5), 347 tons of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and 206,416 tons of carbon dioxide.

Ohio Green Fleets is a comprehensive program designed by Clean Fuels Ohio to improve the environmental performance and efficiency of public and private fleets. The Ohio Green Fleets program consists of three core components:

Hands on support and assistance with implementation, including assistance in seeking grant funding to reduce implementation costs.
