A contract for B20 Biodiesel has been added to the state procurement term schedule by the Ohio Dept. of Administrative Services. – so any public fleet subject to competitive bid requirements can now leverage the state of Ohio’s contract for low-cost, high quality biodiesel. The Ohio Dept. of Administrative Services has announced their decision to award the contract to Benchmark Biodiesel. Benchmark, a Clean Fuels Ohio member, has a strong track record of supplying the best biodiesel product to public and private fleets throughout the state.
“Benchmark Biodiesel is pleased to be the selected supplier of biodiesel to any public fleet through the Ohio Dept. of Administrative Services procurement process” said Page Thorson, CEO of Benchmark Biodiesel. “With this contract in place, any public fleet can simply cut a purchase order to receive the highest quality biodiesel seamlessly delivered as conventional diesel would be – all while allowing fleets to the chance to use a domestic renewable fuel with performance and environmental benefits.”
Many public fleets have been using biodiesel for years with tremendous success – seeing both environmental, performance and economic benefits. “The City of Columbus has been using biodiesel successfully year-round for the past 10 years, across all our diesel vehicle platforms” said Kelly Reagan, Fleet Administrator for the City of Columbus. “We’re excited to see the state of Ohio add biodiesel to its bid list, allowing other public fleets easy access to a contract for high-performing, domestically produced fuel that offers operational and environmental benefits.”
