An Update on Our DOE-Funded Projects

EV WATTS:

We are coordinating with Clean Cities coalition partners to receive executed contract agreements and overviews of each Clean Cities coalition’s EV/EVSE data partners. Together with Energetics we have drafted and distributed Data Provision Agreements, which will guarantee data providers anonymized data reports, to the Clean Cities coalition partners to share with their data partners. In March, we held a project kick-off meeting at the 2020 NTEA Work Truck Show with Energetics to engage with existing and potential project partners and interested stakeholders. During Q2, we will begin securing signed Data Provision Agreements in order to start collecting and assembling EV/EVSE data. We will draft a Local PEV Data Collection template with Energetics for Clean Cities coalition partners to complete for the installation of telematics devices for a minimum of 50 PEVs to collect vehicle/driver data during the project period. Energetics will take the data and begin to complete initial data quality review and assess gaps. For more informational on the project, please visit www.evwatts.org.

Proof of Concept: Heavy Duty EV Demonstrations:

We are engaging with fleet demonstration partners to execute sub-recipient contract agreements. We are also connecting the fleet demonstration partners with vehicle equipment vendors (OEMs) to ensure they are aware of all available vehicle purchasing options. We are coordinating with Clean Cities coalition partners to secure and execute contract agreements for project replication efforts that will occur during year 3 of the project as well. During Q2 of the project, we will finalize contract agreements with fleet partners and OEMs in order to begin to develop a data collection and analysis plan in which the fleet demonstration partners and OEMs will provide data to inform the fleet demonstration deployment plan.

Decentralized Mobility Ecosystem:

We are working with Columbus Yellow Cab, Mobikit, and HNTB to discuss project execution strategies and securing sub-recipient contract agreements. Columbus Yellow Cab has assisted Mobikit in providing fleet operational data for initial analysis that will inform mobility hub deployment plans. Mobikit has developed a data collection and analysis plan with a list of KPIs and specific targeted areas of interest and has shared this with us. During Q2, Columbus Yellow Cab will continue to provide Mobikit with all available operational telematics data for in order to inform Mobility Hub deployment plans. Mobikit will continue to analyze CYC data and we will continue to track progress of both companies work.

NGV UP-TIME:

We are communicating with Clean Cities coalition partners to receive executed contract agreements and an overview of project data fleet partners including total vehicle counts and total NGV counts. Together with Energetics, we have drafted and distributed Data Provision Agreements, which will guarantee anonymized data reports, to the Clean Cities coalition partners to share with their fleet data partners. In March, we held a project kick-off meeting at the 2020 NTEA Work Truck Show with Energetics to engage with existing and potential project partners and interested stakeholders. During Q2, we will begin to secure signed Data Provision Agreements in order to collect and assemble fleet maintenance data. Energetics will take the data and begin to complete initial data quality review and assess gaps. Please visit the website for the project for more information: www.ngv-uptime.org.
