2020 Midwest Green Transportation Forum & Expo Goes Digital
For the past several years, Clean Fuels Ohio has hosted the Midwest Green Transportation Forum & Expo in Columbus, Ohio during the fall. Unfortunately because the global pandemic has raised many questions about the safety of travel and large group gatherings, the Clean Fuels Ohio staff and Board of Directors has made the decision to cancel the in-person conference and move the event to a digital platform.
Clean Fuels Ohio has partnered with the app development team, Whova, to ease the transition of the event to the digital space. While details are still being formalized, attendees can expect the same level of high-value content. The Whova app allows the conference to provide presentations and networking opportunities to a larger number of people over a wider, geographical area. Plenary and breakout sessions can be hosted on a variety of integrated video platforms, virtual networking time can be built in, and exhibitors can utilize the e-business card exchange and lead retrieval functions to supplement their interactions with attendees.
Rachel Ellenberger, the Business Development and Communications Manager for Clean Fuels Ohio, says “We believe that the Midwest Green Transportation Forum & Expo is an extremely valuable event to our members, stakeholders, and the mission of Clean Fuels Ohio. Transitioning to a digital conference is the best way ensure that attendees will still receive valuable content and networking capabilities without having to jeopardize the health and safety of their employees and families.”
The Clean Fuels Ohio staff is working diligently to restructure the MWGT agenda and fees for both exhibitors and attendees. More information will become available in the coming weeks as details become formalized.
