Clean Fuels Ohio is planning to hold thirty educational sessions over two weeks for its annual Midwest Green Transportation Forum and Expo. The fully virtual conference will take place September 14 through 25, 2020. Details on sessions and speakers are available at the conference website. All sessions are set, and about 80% of speakers are now confirmed. Registration is free.
“Taking the event virtual has helped us offer unprecedented content,” said Sam Spofforth, Clean Fuels Ohio’s Executive Director. “Sessions and speakers will be valuable to anyone interested in clean, sustainable and affordable transportation – fleet leaders, governments at all levels, planners, businesses focused on sustainability, cost-savings and serving, developers and owners of commercial and residential properties, retailers, transportation advocates, and others.”
On each of the ten event business days, the conference will feature one 90-minute session from 10:30 am to 12 noon, and then two 60-minutes sessions starting at 1 pm and 2:30 pm. All times are EDT. Structured networking time with speakers will follow each session. Attendees will be able to participate in that by downloading the free virtual networking app, Whova. All content will be recorded and available after the conference ends.
Specific topic areas include:
Technology and market forecasts in changing world,
Policy issues at all levels
Electric vehicle (EV) charging planning and site host best practices
Smart mobility and levels of vehicle autonomy
Plus, deeper dives into several fleet sustainability topics, including:
Renewable natural gas
Renewable propane Autogas
Electrification including fleet lessons learned and charging infrastructure
Peer fleet best practices focused on all of these topics, plus overall fleet management
Next week, Clean Fuels Ohio will launch a campaign to promote sessions and speakers. The goal will be to make sure that interested stakeholders from Ohio, the Midwest and across the country are aware of the educational sessions, specific speakers and other valuable portions of the conference, such as the industry expo and additional networking opportunities.
